Journalist Louise Larsen was probably the first Chinese-American woman to report for a major newspaper in the USA. She worked at the "Los Angeles Record," "San Francisco Times," "Chicago Times," "Los Angeles Daily News," and "Evening Outlook." Her memoir was called "Sweet Bamboo."
