Description
Barbara Rice sits in her study with her dog. She was a poet interested in metaphysics, the wife of stonemason Jack Rice, and the mother of artist Megan Rice. She read widely and had a large book collection. She took daily walks around Old Topanga Canyon's Skyline Loop with a pencil and 3x5" cards in her pocket, ready to write down poetry fragments as they came to her. She died in 2008.
